My profile file in the Last of Us on PS4 will not register collectilbles like pendants and comics as I progress in the game.
You should be able to see the product code(s) in your receipts, on the disc (and on the spine of the cover).
You don't happen to have any older/other backups of the profile file in the cloud or on a usb thumbdrive or something similar?
You could try and copy the profile file to a usb thumbdrive and then check if it's read only (or write-protected) on a pc or similar.
You're very welcome, but I doubt any of my suggestions will fix your problem since I suspect the profile file has glitched, and the only solution for that afaik is to delete it and hope the game rebuilds some/all of the stats from/via the save files.
I upload both the profile file and the save file I use. I stick to one profile file. When I move to the second PS4, I download the files and then boot up the game. It seems to me that the profile file have become read only for some of the stats, but not others. Where do I find the product codes? Thank you very much for trying to help me. I am a completionist, and this is really bugging me.
So, when you upload the data to the cloud do you also include the profile file in that upload, or only the save game files?
Do both profile files on both ps4s have the same issue/problem?
...or do you stick to one profile file in total and just move it between the ps4s before booting up the game, so to speak? If so, I think the game needs time to adapt to the new save file(s) and profile file, i.e. it may need to be booted up and then closed again at least once before playing.
Maybe the profile file has become read-only (for some reason). Not sure how to check that on a ps4 system though.....
The fact that one is the digital download and the other is the disc version shouldn't cause any issues afaik, but it still might. I don't have any insider info/knowledge on that.
Btw, do you have the product codes for both of your games (e.g. CUSA-00552)?
Though, I'm not sure how to solve this tbh. Like I said, I can't recall ever hearing of anyone playing in this particular way.
Usually people stick to one ps4 that they either move physically between locations or they use remote play via a pc/mac.
The reason why I play on two different PS4 is that I have one in the living room and one in the bed room. Both the disc and the download are bought in the same region. I only use one psn account and it is from the same region. I have tried to rebuild the database without luck. The progress in Left behind is registered in the statistics correctly. The artifacts are stuck at 85, conversations stuck at 28 and pendants and comics are stuck at 0. The chapters shows that I have gotten all the collectibles in all the chapters.
I've never heard of anyone playing the game that way before, so I don't know what kind of issues or problems that could cause, tbh.
Are both the digital and disc version of the game for the same region?
Is the psn account(s) on both ps4s also the same region/country as the games?
Though, I assume you've tried the ps4 catch-all remedy "rebuild database in safe mode"?
I have both a digital copy and a disc. I am alternating between two PS4. After every game session I upload the data to the cloud. The games create save data if I save manually and I can load them. There is only one profile file. I tried deleting all the files and reupload the save I want to use. This creates a new profile file that seems to work, but I have los all my statistics and the unlockable content. The tags are still registered as completed though.
Disc or digital download?
Does the game create save data/files when saving manually (and can you load them without problems?)
Check if you have more than one profile file:
Settings -> Application Save Data Management -> Save Data in System Storage -> Delete > if TLOU Remastered shows up, select it -> Observe if there are more than one instance of the Profile file or not. If you have more than one, delete the rest. Also, if the problems still persists, backup your data, and then delete even the single profile file, reboot the ps4/game, and hopefully your issue will be sorted.
