Walking/moving stuttering bug
This game is one of the colossal PS exclusives and you treat it like garbage. Please fix the walking animation stuttering, the game is unplayable. My controller is brand new and in fine condition but the bug still exists. Diagonal movement is a pain as every character seems to stop on their tracks whennyou slightly change direction. FIX THIS!!

Well, that's what I think as of right now. Sorry if you don't agree. Maybe I worded my statement Incorrectly. As in "fix" I mean, Joel not moving on his own.

You know that what you just said makes no sense whatsoever, right? So ND deliberately made the sensitivity low to avoid drifting by faulty controllers? And all they accomplished was to f@@ up the normal ones. How dare you post a comment saying that it ain't an issue. What a nonsense explanation saying it was designed that way. I went on and bought a brand new controller and the game still stutters on the movement, while I have to admit it didn't in the first couple of minutes. This is a major and embarrassing problem in a game that is supposed to be a huge PlayStation exclusive, and nobody seems to know a way to fix it or give a proper explanation yet. I browsed around forums and Twitter to see more people with the same problem but everyone else treats it like nonexistent. This is just embarrassing. Thank you for posting another meaningless comment not helping with the problem.

This ain't an issue, it's because of how ND design it. They chose how much sensitivity the analog stick needs to be moved to register to fix drifting issues on controllers.

I'm sure ND would address it if they figured it was common problem.
Plus, it doesn't have to be a bluetooth device to cause interference on the bluetooth frequency bands. E.g. some wi-fi channels can be on the same or similar frequencies.

Yes I swapped the sticks, the problem still persists. There is no other Bluetooth device enabled anywhere, I reset my controller, tried everything, but it's only present in this game. Loads of people have the same issue, we're not supposed to tweak our console and other device settings in order to play an EXCLUSIVE PS game in the first place. It's absurd. I have no issue whatsoever in any other game and Naughty Dog seems to turn a blind eye to everyone complaining about that. Just because it's free now doesn't mean they should abandon the game like this. It's bad marketing for the upcoming sequel, plus we have paid naughty dog their well deserved money in the past with Uncharted etc..
All they have to do is address this simple matter.. -

Even-though your controller is brand new it still could have a mfg issue....have you tried to swap the left and right analogue stick mapping and see if the problem disappears?
This walking/stuttering issue can also be caused by bluetooth or just general electrical interference by other devices. E.g. a router/modem that's positioned too close to the ps4.
Try turning off/unplugging as many devices as possible in the same room/area as the ps4 to rule this out.
