Can I upgrade from The Last of Us or The Last of Us: Remastered to the PS5 remake version?

There is no upgrade path from the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game to the PS5 remake. The Last of Us Part I is a new game – a ground-up remake of the original The Last of Us, rebuilt on Naughty Dog’s updated PS5 engine and technology. This is not a remaster or port to PS5 of a previous version of The Last of Us.
