• Windows' Spatial Sound bypasses most third-party audio processing software. If you would prefer to use your own virtualization and processing software, in Options > Audio, scroll down to the Compatibility section and change the Output Mode to Traditional.

Are music and cutscenes too loud, but gameplay is too quiet?

• Go to the Sound Control Panel, select your Playback device and choose Properties. Go to the Enhancements tab if available and check "Disable all enhancements" and hit OK. If that doesn't resolve the issue, in Options > Audio, scroll down to the Compatibility section and change the Output Mode to either Spatial or Traditional.

Is there missing dialogue or no sound whatsoever during cinematics?

• In Options > Audio, scroll down to the Compatibility section and change the Output Mode to Traditional.

Does gameplay audio become abnormally quiet when it goes behind the camera?

• In Options > Audio, confirm that your Output Channel configuration matches your physical speaker configuration in Windows' Sound Control Panel. If so, scroll down to the Compatibility section and change the Output Mode to Traditional.

How does the Dynamic Range setting affect volume levels?

• Dynamic Range, found under Options > Audio > Output, adjusts the volume difference between quiet and loud sounds. For example:

1. 1. Maximum maintains the natural volume difference between the quietest and loudest sounds, meaning the game will sound quieter on average
   2. Narrow reduces the volume difference between the two by making quietest sounds louder, meaning the game will sound louder overall

How can I enable Dolby Atmos Playback?

• Below are the general steps for enabling Dolby Atmos Playback.

1. 1. Ensure Dolby Access is installed
      - Dolby Access available to download for free from the Microsoft Store
   2. In Windows: Navigate to System > Sound and select the Dolby Atmos Playback compatible device as the default audio output device. Next, select the following options in that same menu:
      - Under Output Settings > Format: “Dolby Atmos for home theater”
      - Under Spatial Sound: Confirm that it is enabled and “Dolby Atmos for home theater”
   3. Launch the game
   4. In game: Navigate to the Options > Audio menu:
      - Confirm “Output Device” is set to the default audio device
      - Confirm “Output Device Type” is “[AUTO] Home Theater”
      - Confirm “Output Channels” is “[AUTO] 3D Spatial Sound”
      - Note: If 5.1 or 7.1 is manually selected, the system will only use those channels.
